Hypertension is one of the main CVRFs, with a high prevalence in the adult population and a significant burden of morbidity and mortality. A considerable number of patients remain undiagnosed or with inadequate BP control, increasing the risk of complications such as CHD, stroke, CKD, and target organ damage.
(FAC), (SAC), and (SAHA) have developed this document, incorporating the most recent advances in diagnostic and treatment strategies. We have incorporated new information regarding diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, with the aim of optimizing the management of hypertension and its impact on cardiovascular health. To unify criteria for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of hypertension, we provide a clear and accessible reference tool for all healthcare professionals, prioritizing early detection, the establishment of new therapeutic goals, and the optimization of pharmacological and non- pharmacological treatment.
